Our first-ever DW Toolshed Workshop featured the Enneagram on Saturday, January 30th, as a tool to help Coordinators, Support Team Leaders and Admins understand themselves better and in turn enhance their ability to communicate more effectively during the teaming process.  Each one of us has been uniquely created and our personalities play a huge role in how we communicate. One of the key scriptures was Matthew 22:37-39:   "And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

We look forward to offering other DW Toolshed Workshops later in 2021 in an effort to equip and encourage growth in our leaders.  Future topics we are considering:  Story development (what makes a good story), becoming an effective speaker, breaking down Discovery Weekends - why we do what we do, TL prayer during story development, etc.  We would love to hear from you if you have a specific topic you would like us to cover.

Audio Sessions

"As people that serve others in ministry, it is so important to understand one of the Father's greatest commandments, "...love your neighbor as you love yourself" Matt. 22:39. This verse seems fairly straightforward at first blush, but the end is often overlooked. In order to love others, we must FIRST love ourselves. In order to effectively serve in and show love, we must first love ourselves.

As we all know well, love is beautifully enhanced by understanding. We grow to love the Father much more deeply as we learn and understand Him. In the same way, we grow to love ourselves as we gain personal understanding and revelation.
On January 30th we will be diving into a tool that can shed light on our inner workings, our motivations, the looks of our health and unhealth, and so much more. Together, with the truth of the Gospel, this tool can affect serious growth in much of our day to day."

Speaker Bio
Josiah, son of Marty and Holly Erwin, lives with his wife, Kelsey, in Hoover, AL. He enjoys helping others understand how the Enneagram can be a practical and actionable tool in the life of all Christ-followers. In his words, "In and of itself it is not the solution, but it is a tool that can afford us the opportunity to live graciously with others and ourselves."
